Folded Zine

The order of my ideal day was laid out carefully - starting from the Ferry Building, everything is easily accessible via foot, public transportation, or rideshare services (even Waymo).

Ferry building to Union Square is a 15 minute walk, the Muni bus 38 in Union Square goes directly to Japantown, Japantown to Balboa Cafe is an 8 min drive, with Wizards and Wands a block away from there. Thriller Social Club takes you right back to Embarcadero, where you can easily take an uber back to where one’s car is parked in the ferry terminal in Alameda (depending on how late it is!)

Process

The main thing I wanted to feature in the zine were the handlettered names and titles of my favorite places. I wanted a fun, bright, lettering to highlight these great places in San Francisco.

I sketched out what I wanted in my sketchbook before tracing over the image in Procreate to keep the handlettered look.
